Casino Gambling Systems

In general terms, there are four types of betting systems: negative and positive progressive betting systems, insurance betting systems and hedge systems. Those systems in which you increase your bet following a win, are regarded as ‘positive’ systems while those where you increase you bet following a loss are called ‘negative’ systems. Negative progressive betting systems require you to not only have greater nerve (since you are increasing your bet after every loss) but a substantial bankroll to follow through with it. The general consensus is that they are generally best avoided. With the third system, the insurance betting system, the idea is decrease your bet following a win. Your session, however, will usually commence with a large initial bet. It is a more cautious approach. Finally, under a hedge system you make two bets that offset one another.

Most systems will fall within one of these three broad categories and each system has their fair share of ardent supporters who swear by them. Here we look at a selection of systems that have been developed for the casino’s more classic and popular table games, that is, roulette, craps and blackjack but also the slot machines and sports betting.

These systems don’t all guarantee that you’ll win money but they are useful in that they can keep your emotions in check when you are playing and save impulse bets as you are sticking to the betting structure. Also, it is much more fun to follow a betting system than just flat betting as it keeps things fresh and interesting.
